Consulting on Total Productivity Management
Besides Lean Management, we specialise in TPM (Total Productive Management). We identify the areas where there is waste and where losses are created in a company and devise rectifying measures. The performed activities involve all employees and all departments with the aim of tapping the creative potential of the group.
Visualisation of value creation
The aim is to identify and analyse activities that are not value-creating and those that are. The proportion of the non-value-creating activities is reduced through optimisation at the work station. Value-creating activities are also inspected as to their optimisation potential.
Total Productivity Management
The implementation phase of Total Productivity projects usually produces an “Aha” effect from our customers. However, the implementation phase is preceded by an extensive planning phase, during which the work stations are examined for line balancing and the one-piece flow principle.
Picture: TPM planning phase In collaboration with the employees, the consultants from INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SYSTEMS devise an optimised work station layout. After joint approval of the new layout by employees and management, the work stations are modified by the customer’s employees and our consultants. This approach results in a high level of acceptance of the new work stations and ultimately also triggers the “Aha” effect. Few people were able to envisage that you could produce considerably more parts in the same time without Consulting-Total_Produktivity_Management_ENhaving to work faster, as most employees fear. The success of this productivity increase is derived from the elimination of ‘muda’ (waste) at the work stations.
The illustrated approach used by INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SYSTEMS is an important contributor to the economic success of a company, since this “Aha” effect produces the right frame of mind for further optimisation processes, which is also encouraged through training provided by INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SYSTEMS.
